We need someone who enjoys getting out into the market, building genuine relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning consistent follow-through into new work. This is not a traditional desk-based marketing position. You will be equally comfortable meeting a developer for lunch, representing Beaudin at an industry event, organizing a client golf outing, keeping the CRM and business-development dashboard current, and helping produce a winning proposal. The best candidate will already have meaningful connections in the Portland metro and Southwest Washington construction, development, architecture, engineering, commercial real estate, nonprofit, or related business community, and will know how to create new ones. What You'll Do: Business Development & Client Relationships Proactively identify and pursue prospective clients, strategic partners, project leads, RFPs, RFQs, and other opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, engineers, brokers, property owners, nonprofits, consultants, and referral partners. Schedule and attend client lunches, coffees, happy hours, site visits, golf tournaments, association meetings, conferences, and community events. Research target organizations and developments, identify decision-makers, and develop thoughtful strategies for getting Beaudin in the room. Reconnect with dormant contacts, cultivate new relationships, and maintain consistent follow-up with priority clients and partners. Coordinate with leadership and estimating on proposals, interviews, pursuits, and strategies that convert relationships into project opportunities. Help plan client entertainment, company events, fishing trips, golf outings, grand openings, and other relationship-building activities. Track leads from first contact through active opportunity, award, or loss-and keep the relationship strong regardless of the outcome. Marketing, CRM & Pursuit Management: Own the company CRM and contact database, including relationship status, last contact, next action, priority, opportunities, and follow-up dates. Maintain the Marketing & Business Development Dashboard and lead the recurring meeting with clear priorities, owners, deadlines, and recommended next steps. Manage email outreach, quarterly newsletters, website updates, social media, project profiles, photography, video, and marketing collateral. Develop qualifications packages, project sheets, pitch books, proposals, and other business-development materials. Manage memberships, sponsorships, community involvement, volunteering opportunities, industry organizations, and the marketing budget. Report clearly on outreach, meetings, opportunities, campaigns, wins, losses, spending, and the activities producing meaningful results. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of progressive success in marketing, business development, sales, or client relations within commercial construction, real estate development, architecture, engineering, or a similar professional-services environment. An established professional network in the Portland metro area and/or Southwest Washington is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success working with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, brokers, nonprofits, property owners, or comparable decision-makers. Hands-on experience managing a CRM, a large contact database, professional events, client communications, and winning proposals. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a polished professional presence. Comfort with Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, email marketing, CRM platforms, website/content management, digital creative software, and related marketing tools.
