ComTec Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to secure and support IT and cloud environments for mid-market and manufacturing clients. In this role, you will design, implement, and monitor security controls across networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud platforms. You will perform vulnerability assessments, manage firewalls and EDR tools, investigate and remediate security incidents, and support compliance initiatives. You'll collaborate with internal teams and clients, document standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, learning-focused, and highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across on-prem and cloud environments
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and remediation planning
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response tools
- Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents
- Support security aspects of managed services and ERP (Epicor) implementations
- Contribute to security architecture, standards, and documentation
- Assist with security awareness, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to recommend security improvements
