Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer

Leidos seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Data Scientist to design and deliver scalable, data-intensive solutions supporting national security, health, and engineering missions. In this hybrid role, you will build robust services, data pipelines, and production-grade ML models using modern languages, frameworks, and cloud platforms. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software and data solutions for mission-critical systems
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics services
• Develop, train, and integrate machine learning models into production applications
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, and best engineering practices
• Implement security, reliability, and performance tuning for cloud and on-prem solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and data scientists and promote engineering best practices
• Document system architecture, data flows, and operational runbooks
