Junior Software Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Software Engineer job in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining custom web applications, internal business tools, APIs, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions across finance, accounting, and data integration systems. In order to be successful in this position, you must have full-stack development experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server along with strong business analysis and communication skills. Preference will be given to someone with Azure DevOps, Power BI, Telerik or Kendo UI, and finance or accounting application experience.

Software Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Analyze, define, and prioritize business and technical requirements with users across the organization.
• Architect and develop C# ASP.NET MVC web applications, .NET background services, and Web API backends using Entity Framework and SQL Server.
• Own features end to end, including domain modeling, database schema design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Build web interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, Razor, and Kendo UI or Telerik components.
• Write and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and schemas.
• Develop and troubleshoot system integrations and automate manual workflows and data feeds.

Qualifications:

• Three to five years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, RESTful API, and SQL Server experience
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
• Experience working in or modernizing legacy codebases
• Strong requirements gathering, problem solving, and communication skills
• Legal authorization to work in the United States required

This contract Software Engineer job is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $42.00 - $45.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
