Job DescriptionJob Description Aquinas Consulting is currently looking for a HYBRID Senior Data Engineer for our high growth technology partner as they continue commercializing and scaling their insurtech platform. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, managing, and converting raw data into information that can be interpreted by Data Scientists and Business Analysts for future usage. Our partner is under a Fortune 5 global organization, where you will work cross functionally with senior leadership to continuously improve and support the functionality of its data-driven initiatives. Senior Data Engineer Job responsibilities: Work on data model designs and ERD documentation to support new data sets and systems implemented around the organization. Identify operational data gaps and recommend data driven solutions to address those gaps in a secure, performant and reliable manner. Perform in-depth analysis of existing data load, analytics, and visualization code to ensure accuracy of data flow. Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader. Model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent working experience 5 + years of demonstrated professional software or data engineering experience with specialization in data modeling and business intelligence. 3 + years have experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically with concentration in ETL processing via Data Factory. Near expert knowledge of the SQL Server stack (2016+), ETL and Transact SQL (TSQL). Experience with relational database modeling, star schemas and Data Warehousing. Deep working knowledge of Python and modeling datasets for dashboards for BI visualization tools such as Power BI / SSRS / Tableau is a plus. High comfortability and experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
