Support a 24/7 U.S. Coast Guard IT operations center by maintaining Windows and Linux servers, enterprise applications, and virtualization platforms. Monitor system health, manage accounts and access controls, troubleshoot issues, follow security protocols, and automate routine tasks. The position is primarily onsite in the Kearneysville, WV area and requires an active Secret clearance and current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining Windows and Linux servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
- Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Help administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access controls.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security events using tools such as Solar
- Winds.
- Troubleshoot server, operating system, and application issues, escalating complex problems.
- Automate routine operational tasks with Power
- Shell and Bash.
