GovCIO seeks a Software Engineer SME to help convert mission applications to containerized architectures and prepare them for secure, compliant deployment. You will develop and maintain software, integrate container and CI/CD tooling, support secure credentials and service discovery, and guide developers across languages and environments. This hybrid role is based in Quantico, Virginia, with on-site work expected initially.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify applications using compiled and interpreted programming languages.
- Convert existing mission applications to containerized architectures and prepare them for compliant deployment environments.
- Create and maintain container configuration and infrastructure-as-code components such as Dockerfiles.
- Integrate applications with source control, CI/CD pipelines, service mesh, and service discovery tools.
- Implement secure application credential management and support diverse hosting environments.
- Review code, maintain documentation, and provide technical guidance to mission application developers.
