Job Description

Hunter Douglas seeks an IT Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, and optimize enterprise networks that power our custom manufacturing and smart-home solutions. In this role, you will architect and manage LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and firewall infrastructure across plants and offices, ensuring high availability for production and corporate systems. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, drive upgrades, bolster network security, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates bring strong Cisco/networking expertise, experience in high-uptime environments, and a passion for reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability LAN/WAN and wireless networks across manufacturing and corporate sites
  • Administer and optimize firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network monitoring tools
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring uptime for production, smart-factory, and office environments
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
  • Harden network security, enforce policies, and support compliance with corporate standards
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and OT/plant teams on integrated solutions
  • Document network designs, configurations, and diagrams; create runbooks and standards
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide Tier 3 escalation support
