Astound is seeking a Commercial Network Technician to install, configure, and maintain broadband, voice, and video services for business customers. In this field-based role, you will deploy and troubleshoot fiber-rich networks, routers, switches, and WiFi solutions, ensuring reliable performance and outstanding customer experiences. You'll perform site surveys, test and certify circuits, document network changes, and collaborate with engineering and support teams. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and activate broadband, voice, and video services for commercial customers
- Deploy and maintain routers, switches, Wi
- Fi access points, and related CPEPerform site surveys, cabling, and fiber/coax terminations to company standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, connectivity, and performance issues on-site
- Test and certify circuits using appropriate network testing tools
- Document installations, changes, and troubleshooting steps in ticketing systems
- Coordinate with engineering, NOC, and customer support teams on complex issues
- Educate customers on network setups, equipment use, and best practices
- Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards during all field work
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to escalations as needed
