Asset Management Specialist

Leidos seeks an Asset Management Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software supporting mission-critical programs. In this role, you will maintain accurate inventories, track configurations, and ensure license and policy compliance through effective use of CMDB and ITSM tools. You will coordinate with procurement, security, engineering, and operations teams to optimize asset utilization, support audits, and produce data-driven reports. The position offers growth, collaboration, and the chance to contribute directly to national security and critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and CMDB records
• Monitor and ensure software license and security compliance
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors on asset acquisition and disposal
• Support internal and external audits with detailed asset reporting
• Analyze asset data to optimize utilization and reduce costs
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams on asset needs
• Document and improve asset management processes and standards
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities related to IT assets
• Generate regular dashboards and metrics for stakeholders
