Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a DCEO Chief Engineer to lead ADC InfraOps data center engineering operations. You will own the reliability, availability, and efficiency of critical infrastructure supporting AWS cloud services. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical and mechanical systems, driving incident response and root cause analysis, managing capacity and maintenance programs, and leading a team of engineers and technicians. You'll partner with operations, safety, and product teams to implement standards, automation, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance, resiliency, and world-class customer uptime at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering operations for AWS ADC Infra
- Ops data centers
- Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of critical electrical and mechanical systems
- Own incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for infrastructure events
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs and capacity planning
- Develop and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and product teams to drive continuous improvement
- Manage and mentor engineers and technicians, building a high-performing team culture
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and security requirements
- Support infrastructure scaling, new builds, and system upgrades
- Leverage data, automation, and monitoring tools to improve resiliency and efficiency
