Job Description

Viable Engineering Solutions LLC seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop and integrate software that supports advanced automation and robotics applications within mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design projects. In this role, you will build and maintain C++ and Python codebases, implement control and motion-planning algorithms, and connect sensors, simulation tools, and building systems models. You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers in a small, client-focused team, gaining end-to-end project exposure and opportunities to innovate, improve internal tools, and grow into technical or project leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test robotics and automation software for building systems and engineering workflows
  • Integrate robotic controls, sensors, and simulation tools with mechanical and electrical system models
  • Develop algorithms for motion planning, perception, and system optimization within MEP-focused applications
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers to translate project requirements into robust software solutions
  • Implement, document, and maintain clean, well-tested code using modern development practices and version control
  • Support deployment, troubleshooting, and refinement of software on real and simulated robotic platforms
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal tools, automation pipelines, and engineering workflows
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and cross-functional project planning
