Chamberlain University seeks an IT Tech & Simulation Support Specialist to support instructional technology and simulation labs for nursing and healthcare programs. In this student-centered, mission-driven environment, you'll install, configure, and maintain PCs, AV systems, and simulation equipment; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; and support LMS and classroom technologies. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure reliable, high-quality learning experiences, train users on tools and systems, and contribute to continuous improvement of academic technology and simulation operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for PCs, software, networks, and AV systems used in classrooms and labs.
- Install, configure, and maintain simulation lab equipment and related software.
- Support and troubleshoot learning management systems and instructional technologies.
- Respond to help desk tickets, diagnose issues, and resolve or escalate as needed.
- Train faculty, staff, and students on the use of academic and simulation technologies.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and testing of IT and simulation systems.
- Collaborate with academic and operations teams to ensure reliable learning environments.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Support technology setup for classes, labs, and special events.
- Follow IT security, privacy, and compliance standards in all support activities.
