Chamberlain University seeks an IT Tech & Simulation Support Specialist to support technology and simulation labs for nursing and healthcare education. In this student-centered, mission-driven environment, you will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and AV systems, and ensure simulation equipment and labs run smoothly for classes and clinical scenarios. You'll collaborate with faculty, staff, and students, provide frontline help desk support, document issues, and assist with upgrades and maintenance. Responsibilities Provide frontline IT support to faculty, staff, and students for hardware, software, and network issues Set up, operate, and maintain simulation lab equipment and related technologies for nursing and healthcare education Install, configure, and update computers, peripherals, and AV/classroom technologies Monitor and troubleshoot learning management systems (LMS) and instructional technologies used in classes and labs Document incidents, resolutions, and configurations using a ticketing system Collaborate with faculty and simulation staff to ensure technology supports teaching and learning objectives Assist with lab scheduling, equipment readiness checks, and scenario technology setup Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and testing of IT and simulation systems Train users on basic technology and simulation equipment operation Support a student-centered, mission-driven culture focused on service, integrity, and continuous improvement Required Skills Technical support and troubleshooting Simulation lab technology setup and maintenance Windows and mac OS administration Learning management systems (LMS) support Audio/visual and classroom technology support Networking fundamentals Ticketing systems and IT documentation Customer service and communication Hardware and software installation/configuration Basic scripting or automation
