Element Care, a nonprofit PACE provider, is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, secure, and support the infrastructure that powers care for frail seniors across Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage servers, virtualization, cloud services, and clinical applications to ensure reliable, HIPAA-compliant systems for our interdisciplinary care teams. You'll monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery. Working in a compassionate, mission-driven, and highly collaborative culture, you'll partner with clinicians and staff to deliver practical technology solutions that help participants remain safely in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable systems supporting PACE clinical and administrative operations
- Administer Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud services to ensure high availability
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents with minimal downtime
- Implement and maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Ensure systems comply with HIPAA and organizational security, privacy, and audit requirements
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, and operations teams to assess needs and deliver technical solutions
- Manage identity and access control, including Active Directory and role-based permissions
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting and configuration tools
- Document architectures, configurations, and procedures for support and audits
- Support on-call rotation and provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for critical systems
