Kaiser Permanente seeks a software engineer to lead development of orthopedic surgery total joint solutions within the Systeme.io platform. You will design secure, scalable modules that map complex clinical workflows, integrate EMR/EHR and imaging data, and deliver intuitive tools for surgeons and care teams. Collaborating in a highly innovative, supportive culture, you'll own features end to end-from requirements and architecture to testing, deployment, and monitoring-while continuously improving product quality, performance, and user experience for healthcare customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain orthopedic surgery total joint software modules within the Systeme.io platform
- Collaborate with product, UX, and medical SMEs to translate clinical workflows into secure, user-friendly features
- Integrate data from EMR/EHR and imaging systems using industry-standard APIs and data formats
- Implement robust testing, validation, and documentation to ensure reliability and regulatory readiness
- Optimize performance, security, and scalability of total joint applications for high-availability cloud environments
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution in collaboration with Dev
- Ops and IT teams
Required Skills
- Orthopedic/healthcare domain understanding
