Chinese Cultural/Language SME

Leidos seeks a Chinese Cultural/Language SME to support mission-focused IT and analytics programs for government and commercial clients. In this role, you will apply advanced Mandarin and/or Cantonese skills and deep cultural knowledge to review, interpret, and quality-check content and data. You'll advise engineers, data scientists, and analysts on cultural implications, support localization of technical materials, and contribute to research and reporting. Working in a mission-driven, collaborative environment, you'll help shape secure, effective solutions with real-world national security impact.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on Chinese language, culture, and regional context for IT and analytics programs.
• Review, interpret, and quality-check Chinese language content, data, and documentation for accuracy and nuance.
• Advise project teams on cultural implications of system design, user interfaces, and communications.
• Support localization and adaptation of technical and user-facing materials for Chinese-speaking audiences.
• Contribute to research, analysis, and reporting that informs national security and commercial client missions.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and analysts to integrate cultural insights into solutions.
• Develop and maintain terminology, glossaries, and style guidance for Chinese-language products.
• Provide briefings and training on cultural and linguistic considerations to internal and client stakeholders.
