Pashto Linguist

Leidos seeks a Pashto Linguist to support mission-critical IT and national security programs. In this role, you will provide expert Pashto/English translation, transcription, and interpretation for technical, cyber, and operational content, ensuring accuracy, cultural nuance, and compliance with security standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, produce clear written summaries, maintain terminology resources, and contribute to high-impact government projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Pashto-to-English and English-to-Pashto translation of technical, operational, and IT-related materials
• Perform real-time and recorded audio interpretation for mission and project meetings
• Review, edit, and quality-check translated documents for accuracy and cultural appropriateness
• Support cyber, analytics, and systems engineering teams with precise language support
• Research terminology and maintain glossaries aligned with government and IT standards
• Ensure compliance with security, confidentiality, and ethical guidelines in all language work
• Collaborate with cross-functional Leidos teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
• Prepare clear written summaries and reports based on Pashto-language source materials
