Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Controls Technician for DCC Communities to support mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment. You will install, configure, and maintain control systems that monitor and optimize AWS data center operations, ensuring reliability, security, and uptime. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, executing preventive maintenance, and assisting with commissioning and upgrades. You'll collaborate with engineering and operations teams, follow strict safety and compliance standards, and continuously learn cutting-edge cloud and automation technologies while supporting large-scale global workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain DCC community control systems supporting AWS data center infrastructure
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, network, and software issues impacting control systems
  • Execute preventive maintenance, testing, and validation of control equipment to ensure reliability and uptime
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to implement system upgrades and changes
  • Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions in line with AWS standards
  • Support on-call rotation and respond to incidents within SLAs in a 24/7 environment
  • Assist in commissioning, calibration, and optimization of controls for performance and efficiency
  • Adhere to security, safety, and compliance requirements across all control system activities
