Amazon is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and optimize control and automation solutions for large-scale IT and telecommunications systems. In this customer-obsessed, data-driven environment, you will build and support PLC, SCADA, and monitoring integrations that improve reliability, resiliency, and observability across AWS and enterprise infrastructure. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll automate operations, troubleshoot complex incidents, and drive continuous improvement at global scale. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain control systems for large-scale IT and telecom infrastructure.
- Develop PLC, SCADA, and automation solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate control systems with AWS and on-prem observability, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Collaborate with IT, telecom, and operations teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Document architectures, diagrams, and operational procedures for control environments.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven experimentation and automation.
- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across control and monitoring systems.
