Job Description
Lead and/or develop and execute complex projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, and attend design reviews and provide input to meet market requirement specifications (MRS) and hardware/software specifications. Develop and manage detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking, from planning through implementation phases. Coordinate cross-functional alignment of scope of work (SOW) and system configurations with customers, customer engineers (CE), business management (BM), and account sales teams. Create and improve Delta-BOMs for Non System Order (NSO) and refurbishment projects to optimize cost structure and improve gross margin. Conduct compatibility assessments for replacement parts, including obsolescence checks and supplier coordination for alternative sourcing. Lead system architecture definition and down-selection processes through structured design reviews and technical evaluations, ensuring alignment with market requirement specifications (MRS). Write comprehensive subsystem specifications and interface definitions using systems analysis and architectural modeling tools. Support system integration during the assembly and final testing of refurbishment systems, resolving complex engineering issues related to manufacturability, serviceability, and cross-module compatibility. Domestic and international travel required (20%). Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: 1. Etch Chamber Systems: Operational and process qualification experience with Applied Materials DPS family, Sym3 family, dielectric etch systems, and Producer eXT 2. Mainframe Platforms: Centura AP, Centura ACP, Centris, Producer, and Producer GT platforms, including system-level integration and validation 3. Factory Interface Platforms: Installation and operational experience with EFEM systems (5.3 FI, 5.4 FI, 6.3 FI, 6.4 FI) and SFEM modules, including mechanical alignment and software configuration 4. System Software: Applied Materials CGA and AMS software for system control, diagnostics, and data logging 5. Tool Startup and Qualification: Independently perform full system startup procedures including mechanical assembly and hardware setup; electrical and software validation post power-on; gas line activation and safety interlock verification; and final test execution and process qualification for systems 6. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis using system logs, sensor data, and remote diagnostic tools to resolve hardware and software faults at the component level; develop and execute corrective action plans for non-standard system failures Salary range: $187,762 - $225,314 per year TO APPLY: please email your resume to and include the Req in the subject line.
