Job Description We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our dynamic team on site in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale IP network design, implementation, and operations and a proven ability to deliver proactive and reactive post-sales support that aligns business and technical solutions while ensuring Total Customer Experience. Responsibilities: Conduct network information-gathering workshops to understand existing designs and requirements for new designs. Learn customer organizational structure and support processes to sustain a highly available network. Test new designs, features, and functions in a lab, develop implementation and verification plans, and support live deployment. Validate software patches and fixes in pre-production and production according to implementation plans. Troubleshoot equipment and network issues, open and drive JTAC cases, and manage pre- and post-production incidents. Initiate and track RMAs through problem resolution. Provide regular written status reports on designs, equipment, and network problems. Lead technology workshops, present case updates, document root causes, workarounds, and solutions. Train customer design, implementation, and support teams on HPE/Juniper products, including configurations and operations. Assist in developing network and equipment operating procedures and best practices. Support production environments using HPE/Juniper products and define best-practice policies. Peer with resident engineers to share lessons learned and mitigate risk during major changes. Develop secondary skills across the HPE/Juniper product portfolio. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years in large-scale IP network design, implementation, and operations. Proficiency with JUNOS CLI and Juniper routing and switching. Hands-on experience with QFX and EX platforms, EVPN/VXLAN, and data center or large enterprise networks. Strong knowledge of BGP (eBGP/iBGP) and OSPF. Mist Wireless assurance experience including Mist APs, Marvis AI, edge devices, and Mist web UI. Experience with EZ-LAG and Juniper automation tools including Ansible, YAML, and PyEZ; ability to script in Python. Ability to prepare, validate, and deploy configurations and software upgrades in customer environments. Effective communication in crisis situations with stakeholders from Engineering to CIO/CISO level. Experience supporting maintenance windows, major upgrades, and change events. Preferred Skills: Technical Certifications: JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless, JNCIP-MistAI. Hands-on experience with Mist APs, Marvis AI, edge devices, and Mist web UI required for these certifications. Additional certifications a plus: JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, JNCIS-MistAI-Wired, CCNP, CCIE. Additional Experience and Expertise: Preparation and validation of HPE/Juniper configurations for new installs and changes. Development and maintenance of fault diagnosis and operational procedures. Network health assessments and validation testing for HPE/Juniper products. Implementation, integration, migration planning, and upgrade testing. Troubleshooting network issues and collaborating with JTAC; submission of problem reports with Customer Service and Engineering liaison. Working knowledge of Mist API/Web UI and Marvis AI; basic automation with YAML, JSON, and PyEZ. Ongoing knowledge transfer to customer teams on HPE/Juniper products. Work Conditions: On-site at customer office. 1111 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus, OH . Client interface required. Overtime may be required. Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. English language proficiency required.
