Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced IT Manager/Director to lead and manage infrastructure operations in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems. The ideal candidate will excel in driving results, fostering team collaboration, and implementing innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the management, performance, and development of the IT infrastructure team.
• Ensure operational stability and continuous improvement of core systems, including servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Drive the implementation of infrastructure initiatives, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, and validating system quality.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of technology tools, services, and infrastructure support.
• Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance for multi-cloud, multi-domain, and multi-tenant environments.
• Implement and maintain endpoint and device management systems, including PCs, Macs, printers, and peripherals.
• Oversee data center operations, ensuring optimal performance of power, cooling, cabling, and fire suppression systems.
• Develop and enforce monitoring and alerting processes, with a focus on automated remediation.
• Lead patch management and asset lifecycle initiatives to ensure systems remain up-to-date and secure.
• Collaborate with peer leaders and other IT teams to drive continuous improvement and align technology strategies with business needs.• Extensive experience with server hardware, virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V, and cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and end-user technologies including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies including firewalls, switches, routers, and Fortinet platforms.
• Expertise in storage, backup, and recovery processes across complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving multi-cloud, multi-domain, and multi-forest architectures.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools and practices for diverse device ecosystems.
• Proven track record of managing data center operations and infrastructure stability.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable and drive positive outcomes.
