Chipton-Ross is seeking a SAM OR Software Asset Management/Systems Engineer 3 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Huntsville, AL.


US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance is required to start.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for a systems engineer who performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.


Responsibilities for Engineer Systems 3:

o Monitor software usage and licenses across the designated program to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, terms and conditions, and relevant regulations.


o Manage a repository of applications, databases, and spreadsheets.


o Issue budgetary Requests for Quotes and submit appropriate Purchase Requests.


o Collect, analyze, and report on software license consumption information for forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cost optimization.


o Import software information, filter the discovered data, analyze the results, and report to stakeholders.


o Plan, conduct, and oversee regular software license audits to verify compliance and identify potential licensing gaps or discrepancies.


o Collaborate with system lifecycle managers and budget owners to proactively understand current software licensing needs and assist in planning for future requirements.


o Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various departments to evaluate, assess, and optimize software license requirements and deployments.


o Identify and assess risks and issues related to software licensing non-compliance; develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, predominantly Excel, and an aptitude to learn new software applications.

o The ability to be successful while multi-tasking, prioritizing, and working on a variety of projects at once.

o Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

School must be accredited.


WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. Hybrid position.

Hourly pay rate is up to: $130.29
