Job Description

Pay Rate: $60-$70 per hour Summary: Location: Oakland, CA Work Mode: Remote Duration: 8 Months Responsibilities: Act as a business expert and liaison between the IT development group and business units for development, enhancement, and implementation of systems. Provide data and reporting solutions to satisfy informational and performance metrics needs for business functions. Manage one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects with defined start and end dates, scope, budget, resources, and objectives. Work with stakeholders and project teams to elicit, analyze, validate, and prioritize business needs/requirements. Conduct interviews and gather customer requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, and other methods. Identify and establish scope and parameters for requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, and conformity to standards. Participate in QA of purchased solutions and selection of software solutions. Develop and utilize standard templates for writing requirements specifications. Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements for developers/project team. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide developers and project teams. Conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure correct interpretation. Assist in interpreting customer requirements into feasible options and communicate these to business stakeholders. Manage and redefine status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders. Participate in testing efforts, including test script creation, throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related job functions. Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodology. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Proven experience with business IT applications. Ability to lead and influence decision-making with senior management. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of SQL. Preferred Skills: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration. Experience working with Electric Generation Interconnection programs. Experience with Electric Distribution/Transmission/Substation work and asset management processes. Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver significant technology solutions/business process improvements from concept to implementation.
