JOB DESCRIPTION

An organization is seeking a full-time IT Tier 1 Support Analyst to join its Information Technology team. This role reports to IT leadership and supports day-to-day technical operations across the business. The ideal candidate has up to three years of experience in a similar environment, is highly organized, and can effectively manage multiple priorities.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE


  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 11
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
  • Understanding of Active Directory, including users, groups, and domain structure
  • Familiarity with AD security and Group Policy
  • Experience managing file and folder permissions and shared resources
  • Ability to read and interpret event logs
  • Knowledge of Windows Task Scheduler
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Teams Telephony
  • Understanding of file and print services


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Provide Tier 1 help desk support by monitoring and responding to incoming tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for both onsite and remote users, and ensuring timely resolution of technical problems. Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including setup and decommissioning of user accounts, hardware, and software. Maintain organization of IT storage areas and equipment. Manage IT assets by tracking inventory within the system and coordinating equipment distribution and returns, including laptops and peripherals. Assist with system monitoring and security by supporting endpoint protection tools, performing basic network troubleshooting, and helping maintain patching processes. Contribute to overall IT operations by maintaining system images, assisting with software deployment, and keeping internal documentation up to date. Provide support for conference room technology and end-user devices such as phones and headsets, and assist users with wireless connectivity and audiovisual setup.
