Job Description

As a Systems Integration Technician, you will be responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting subassemblies or finished products using layouts, wiring diagrams, and written instructions. You will configure computer clients, servers, and switches within a network environment, ensuring that systems meet quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system and subassembly inspections to verify quality requirements.
  • Assist other personnel in performing Acceptance Test duties with customer representatives.
  • Diagnose system or unit problems and suggest and implement production improvements.
  • Assist engineers in performing and validating test procedures.
  • Build prototype and new design hardware assemblies as required by engineering.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in system configuration and testing.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, switches, routers, and electronics.
  • Experience configuring and testing Windows servers and Cisco switches/routers.
  • Ability to loom cables through server racks.
  • Proficiency in using command prompts or tools such as WIN-PCM or Putty.
  • Knowledge of Power Supply and Security+ certification.
  • Experience with Windows 2012.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-year technical degree.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical system connections and electronic hardware assembly techniques.
  • System configuration documentation to assemble and test telecommunications equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including experience loading software applications on client and server computers.
Work Environment

Work in an engineering/lab environment focused on configuring voice communication systems. The manufacturing is located in Vienna, Austria, while the USA team supports the integration of products into server racks. The team is expanding, currently consisting of about 15 members and has grown to two additional facilities. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with most team members starting at 7:30 am, although flexibility is allowed depending on the situation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
