Job Description We are seeking an experienced SWIFT technologist to join our Swift Development Team within CIO, partnering with CTO Production Support and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SWIFT installation, configuration, and support across Alliance products, with working knowledge of Python and Core Java, and a proven ability to deliver complex requirements that meet functional, non-functional, and compliance outcomes. Responsibilities: Contribute to story refinement and definition of requirements. Estimate and guide work across the delivery lifecycle for assigned stories. Perform proofs of concept to mitigate risk and validate new ideas. Implement solutions and create unit tests that meet acceptance and compliance criteria. Install, configure, patch, maintain, troubleshoot, and test SWIFT Alliance components. Collaborate with production support partners to ensure stable operations. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5-10+ years of experience in the technology industry. 3-5 years hands-on with SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, and SWIFTNet Link, including patching, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing. Knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats and SWIFT protocols. Primary skill: SWIFT. Secondary: Python. Tertiary: Core Java. 3+ years supporting applications on AIX or Linux operating systems. 1+ years in Agile delivery practices. 3+ years completing application documentation for risk, regulatory, and compliance needs. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication and effective listening skills. Ability to think creatively and deliver results independently and in a team. Preferred Skills: Experience with Alliance Messaging Hub. Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment formats. Exposure to US RTP, SEPA Instant, or FedNow real-time payments. Experience with infrastructure upgrades and replacements. Good understanding of SDLC and SWIFT Hardware Security Modules. Additional Qualifications: Business Products & Strategy: Basic awareness of products, services, business flows, and strategy. Financials & Resource Management: Basic understanding of financial data and team impact. Planning, Execution & Process: Facilitates team ceremonies, manages risks, dependencies, and impediments for one team, and addresses Agile or waterfall questions. Test Engineering: General awareness of testing practices, with ability to contribute to integration, regression, and performance test suites, analyze reports, and triage issues. DevOps & Release Automation: Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery tools and practices. Application & Data Architecture: Understanding of architecture and bank standards, with participation in design and implementation support. Data Management: Knowledge of data management practices and technologies. Experience Design: Basic understanding of experience design principles and accessibility guidelines. Promotes Collaboration: Works across teams and seeks diverse viewpoints. Influence Decisions: Presents recommendations with supporting facts and analysis. Achieves Sustainable Results: Tracks solution effectiveness with KPIs and compares approaches using technical and financial factors.
