The CNC Programming Engineer creates and optimizes multi axis CNC programs, tooling plans, and setup documentation to support high precision machining. The role requires strong CAD/CAM skills (NX preferred), problem solving on the production floor, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Description Reporting directly into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following: Develop and optimize CNC programs to meet production and quality standards. Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of components. Create CNC programs in CAM software and check programs using Vericut software. Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to generate precise CNC instructions. Maintain and update CNC programming documentation and tooling requirements. Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving for machining issues on the production floor. Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards in all programming activities. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Profile A successful CNC Programming Engineer should have: High School Degree or GED. Proficiency in CNC programming software. Experience with CNC mill multi-axis programming. Experience with NX. CAD/CAM experience. Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials. Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality results.
