Job Description We are seeking an JDE (RPG/ Cobol) Developer Contractor to join our project team supporting our client. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and AS/400-based JDE World environments and a proven ability to design, develop, optimize, and support Oracle-based applications while translating business requirements into secure and performant technical solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications using PL/SQL and SQL. Design and create database objects to support application development and integration. Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and resource utilization. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables. Provide application support, troubleshooting, and enhancements ensuring data integrity and security. Support development in JDE World v7.3 on AS/400 with RPG and COBOL where applicable. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of experience with Cobol Strong PL/SQL and SQL development skills for Oracle database applications. Experience designing database objects, performance tuning, and ensuring data security. Proven ability to analyze business requirements and produce clear technical specifications. Preferred Skills: Experience with JDE World v7.3 on AS/400, including RPG and COBOL development. Background supporting sold/funded enterprise projects in consulting environments. Why BCforward?
