Trenton Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and support rugged, high-performance computing solutions for defense, aerospace, and industrial customers. You will lead system architecture, configuration, and validation of secure servers and workstations for harsh, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, hardware/software integration, performance and environmental testing, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and long-life support for USA-made rugged systems that power critical missions.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead system architecture for rugged servers, workstations, and embedded systems
- Integrate hardware and software components, including OS, firmware, and drivers
- Perform requirements analysis and translate customer needs into technical specifications
- Execute performance, environmental, and reliability testing for mission-critical systems
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams on product development
- Implement secure configurations and support cybersecurity and compliance requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, configurations, and test procedures
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of system design, processes, and standards
