Senior User Experience Designer
JOOLA Kensington, Maryland
Job Description JOOLA is seeking for a Senior User Experience Designer who can hold two things at once: the altitude to set a vision our whole digital experience ladders up to, and the appetite to get into the work when needed. You'll manage and grow a small team of designers, own the craft bar across our shopify site and our suite of apps. To be the person who persuades leadership to choose that great idea, and collaborate and get buy in from cross functional team partners. You're as comfortable setting direction as you are solving a hard interaction problem yourself. You have strong UX thinking and genuine visual chops, you understand what the brand and marketing need from digital, and you can carry an idea through product, engineering and leadership without losing what made it good. This is a hands-on leadership job. If you've spent the last three years only reviewing other people's work, this probably isn't the fit. If you've been the strongest designer on your team and are ready to multiply that through other people without giving up the craft, it is. Responsibilities: Lead and grow the team manage 2-4 designers day to day, assign work, run critique, give direct feedback, set growth paths, and hire as we scale. Set the vision for where our digital experience goes over the next 12-24 months, make the case for it to leadership, and break it into work that ships this quarter. Own end-to-end user journeys across web and app navigation, discovery, conversion, onboarding, retention improving usability and accessibility along the way. Design clean, modern, visually engaging interfaces and hold a high visual bar across every platform and touchpoint. Create wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity, developer-ready designs for web and mobile. Build, maintain and evangelize our design system components, tokens, responsive rules and documentation so the team ships faster and more consistently. Lead user research and testing: interviews, surveys and usability sessions to understand needs and pain points, then use the results to improve the work. Partner closely with the tech lead and developers on feasibility, hand off cleanly, and stay in it through build and QA including with offshore and distributed teams. Work with brand and marketing so campaign, performance and brand needs are served by the design rather than fought by it. Put AI to work in the design practice ideation, exploration, production, prototyping, research synthesis and help the team adopt what actually earns its keep. Go hands-on when it counts. In crunch, you take work on yourself and ship it. Requirements: 8-12 years designing digital products, with at least 2-3 years managing designers directly. You've hired, developed and, when necessary, had the hard conversation. A portfolio that proves both halves: rigorous UX thinking and visual work you're proud to put on a screen. Outcomes, not just artifacts. Mastery of Figma components, variables, auto layout, prototyping, and the file hygiene that lets a team work in your files without breaking them. Deep experience with responsive web and native app design, and with design systems at production scale. Fluency with AI tooling in a design context, or a demonstrated, fast-moving curiosity about it tell us what you've tried and what you concluded. A track record of working hand-in-hand with developers you know enough about how things get built to design things that can be. Cross-functional influence: you can carry an idea through product, engineering, brand and leadership, defend it with evidence and conviction, and recognize the moment when collaboration beats winning. Experience collaborating with offshore or distributed partners, and the async rhythm and over-communication that takes. Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a small team where the job description ends somewhere short of the actual work. Preferred Qualifications: E-commerce or DTC experience you've owned a conversion funnel and moved it. Sport, fitness, or another category with real fandom behind it. Motion, 3D, or content design range. Experience standing up a design practice rather than joining a mature one. About JOOLA: JOOLA was first established in 1952 and built a global reputation as a pioneer in table tennis. In 2022, JOOLA expanded into the rapidly growing pickleball scene and quickly attracted the biggest names in the sport. As an official table tennis sponsor for three Summer Olympic Games and the official sponsor of pickleball's top athletes and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the team at JOOLA combines its storied expertise with fresh perspectives to bring innovation to both sports. JOOLA creates a variety of equipment, apparel, and accessories for both table tennis and pickleball players, professional and recreational. Website Conversion Manager
Sonar Bellville, Texas
Job Description Job Description Who is Sonar? Sonar enables organizations to ship agentic code with confidence. Code creation is abundant, but confidence is scarce. Our core platform, SonarQube, verifies over 750 billion lines of code every day, delivering agentic verification and governance for all code. Trusted by more than 7 million developers and 75% of the Fortune 100, including teams at Nvidia, ServiceNow, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company, Sonar enables organizations to reduce outages, improve security, and lower the cost and risk of agentic software development. Founded in Geneva and now headquartered in Austin, Texas, Sonar has a global team working across offices and hubs, including Silicon Valley, London, Bochum, Barcelona, Singapore, Tokyo, and the Washington, D.C. area. At Sonar, we're enabling enterprises to build agentic software factories that can move quickly while maintaining the control, consistency and evidence required to ship with confidence. Position description Sonar's website is becoming a bigger driver of pipeline as our Web team scales, and we need someone focused full-time on turning traffic into qualified demand. As Website Conversion & Optimization Manager, you own the site's CRO and testing program end to end: hypotheses, test design, QA, launch, and analysis, plus the broader analytics and organic and content signals that feed it, working directly with our VP, Digital & Web. This is a hands-on role: with no dedicated testing team under you, you'll run experiments yourself as often as you'll direct them, partnering with our SEO Strategist, Lead Web Producer, and engineering team to keep every page fast, findable, and built to convert, and directing outside optimization and testing agency partners rather than building or managing an internal team. What you will do Own conversion rate optimization across landing pages, calls-to-action, form flows, and on-site conversational engagement (Qualified), from hypothesis through shipped change. Own the CRO and testing program end to end: write hypotheses, design and configure A/B and multivariate tests, QA them before launch, monitor them live, and analyze results, partnering with the Lead Web Producer on production support and with Engineering on technical implementation. Connect individual tests into a cohesive test-and-learn roadmap, sequencing experiments so each one builds on prior results instead of running in isolation. Own web analytics (GA4 and Mixpanel) and marketing conversion signals, including tracking, attribution, and form and CTA performance, turning data into a prioritized optimization roadmap. Bring working SEO knowledge to the optimization program, coordinating with the SEO Strategist so technical SEO and conversion work are aligned rather than working at cross purposes on the same pages. Brief, direct, and review the output of outside optimization and testing agency partners, holding contracted resources accountable to scope, quality, and deadlines. Drive organic initiatives, including PR, earned media, backlinks, infographics, and influencer organic, in partnership with Corporate Marketing. Coordinate short-form organic content, such as social posts and short video, with the Social Media team. Report on experiment results and conversion performance, and communicate the rationale behind test prioritization and roadmap tradeoffs, to the VP, Digital & Web and cross-functional stakeholders in clear, decision-ready terms. Experience and qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have 4+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization, growth marketing, or web optimization, ideally at a B2B SaaS company. Have hands-on experience owning A/B and multivariate tests end to end, from hypothesis and test build through QA, launch monitoring, statistical analysis, and rollout, not just designing or interpreting tests someone else runs. Be comfortable operating without a dedicated testing team or engineering support on standby, running and troubleshooting experiments directly when needed. Have experience building a sequenced test-and-learn roadmap rather than running one-off tests, and explaining the reasoning behind prioritization to leadership. Be fluent in GA4 and Mixpanel and comfortable turning data into a prioritized test roadmap. Have working SEO experience, whether technical SEO, on-page optimization, or content SEO, sufficient to keep conversion work aligned with search performance. Have experience briefing and managing outside agencies or vendors, holding contracted partners accountable to output and deadlines, rather than managing a direct team. Be comfortable partnering with engineering to scope and prioritize the technical implementation of tests and fixes. Be a clear communicator who can translate testing results and data into decisions for cross-functional stakeholders. Nice to have: experience with CMS platforms, tag management, conversational marketing platforms (e.g., Qualified), and B2B or developer-audience websites. In-office culture We're intentional about this. We believe the best teams are built in the room together. Three anchor days - Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays - create the collaboration rhythm that makes a hub office worth having. Candidates need to be genuinely based in the location the role is posted - if that's not where you are today, we're happy to support relocation for the right person. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion At Sonar, we believe that our diversity is our strength. We are a global company that values and respects different backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome all qualified applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. If you need any accommodation, please reach out to us at . All offers of employment at Sonar are contingent upon the results of a comprehensive background check and reference verification conducted before the start date. Applications that are submitted through agencies or third party recruiters will not be considered. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
