Genworth is seeking a Lead Platform Architect to define and drive the cloud platform strategy supporting our insurance and financial services portfolio. In this role, you will design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures that power long-term care and protection products. You'll set platform and governance standards, guide modernization and migration efforts, and mentor engineering teams. Partnering closely with security, operations, and product leaders, you'll ensure our cloud platforms are resilient, cost-efficient, and aligned with Genworth's mission of long-term financial security.
Responsibilities
- Define and own cloud platform architecture and technology roadmap for finance and insurance solutions
- Design secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure and services
- Lead evaluation and selection of cloud technologies, tools, and patterns
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and Dev
- Ops teams
- Establish cloud governance, security, reliability, and cost-optimization standards
- Collaborate with product, security, and operations to align architecture with business goals
- Oversee migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-native platforms
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, reference implementations, and best practices
