  • AI-Enabled Operations: Evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-assisted tools to improve troubleshooting, documentation, automation, and engineering productivity while maintaining appropriate security controls.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with application development, infrastructure, database, security, and operations teams to improve deployment processes and production reliability.
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational standards while researching new tools and technologies to improve engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience designing, supporting, and improving CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or comparable languages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure, including networking, compute, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
  • Understanding of modern DevOps practices, release management, infrastructure automation, and operational support.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, including secure pipeline design, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and access controls.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, databases, middleware, or other business-critical systems across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and mentor engineers without requiring direct people-management responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with platform engineering practices, internal developer platforms, self-service automation, and reusable deployment patterns.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including service-level indicators, service-level objectives, error budgets, incident reviews, and toil reduction.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native application deployment.
