Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer, Data Centers to support mission-critical building operations across a high-availability portfolio. You will assist in leading daily engineering activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems; monitoring BMS and critical power infrastructure; and responding to incidents to ensure 24/7 uptime. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you'll help coordinate vendors, oversee work permits, support capital projects, track compliance, and maintain documentation while promoting safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in a client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of data center mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime
- Monitor BMS, critical power, and environmental conditions for anomalies
- Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Support planning and execution of capital projects and equipment upgrades
- Maintain documentation, work orders, logs, and compliance records
- Help enforce safety procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with client and JLL teams to meet SLAs and performance targets
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, reliability, and process improvement
