Develop and validate embedded firmware and high-fidelity virtual platforms for DirectFlash SSD modules. Build hardware models and simulation tools, integrate them into CI/CD testing, and collaborate with ASIC vendors and engineering teams to validate firmware against hardware designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain firmware simulation environments such as QEMU for shift-left testing.
- Create hardware models for controller logic, PCIe and NVMe interfaces, and NAND media behavior.
- Design instrumentation tools to profile performance and analyze failures in simulated environments.
- Automate CI/CD integration of simulations and virtual platforms into firmware validation and release processes.
- Work with ASIC vendors to validate firmware behavior against RTL and digital logic designs before silicon is available.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to resolve system-level firmware and hardware issues.
