Systems Engineer Windows + Linux Hybrid Moncks Corner, SC
Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy provider, is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support mission-critical infrastructure and high-priority Operational Technology (OT) initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled infrastructure team, troubleshoot complex environments, and play a key role in maintaining the reliability and security of critical systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Administer and support Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Troubleshoot server, application, Active Directory, and network infrastructure issues.
- Manage system updates, patching, and endpoint security.
- Support enterprise backup, security monitoring, and infrastructure platforms.
- Assist with network monitoring, switch configurations, and critical infrastructure projects.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support mission-critical operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Hands-on experience administering both Windows Server and RHEL.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise backup, endpoint protection, and security monitoring tools.
- Ability to independently resolve complex technical issues while collaborating with a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with NERC CIP-regulated environments is a plus!

- Location: Moncks Corner, SC Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 remote)
- Employment Type: 6-month contract to hire
