Job Description
Overview
We're looking for an Oracle HCM Cloud functional specialist with hands-on implementation experience across Time and Labor, Absence Management, and Core HR. This person will configure and support the end-to-end time and absence lifecycle: how employees record time, how that time is validated and calculated, how leave is accrued and taken, and how all of it flows across the HCM suite. The role works closely with HR, payroll, and business stakeholders to turn policy requirements into working system configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the implementation and configuration of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and go-live support
- Configure Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), including time entry layouts, time card fields, time consumer sets, and time processing profiles
- Build and maintain time entry, validation, and calculation rules (overtime, shift premiums, rounding, holidays), including related Fast Formulas
- Set up time approval workflows and approval rules, and manage exception handling
- Configure Absence Management, including absence types, absence plans, accrual rules, eligibility profiles, carryover, and entitlement logic
- Translate company leave policies and regulatory requirements (FMLA, state and local sick leave, etc.) into absence plan configuration
- Manage the integration between Time and Labor and Absence Management so absences display and calculate correctly on time cards
- Configure Workforce Administration and Core HR components, including workforce structures, assignments, employment actions, and person management
- Make sure configuration across Core HR, OTL, Absence, and downstream payroll works together and data flows cleanly between modules
- Create, configure, and customize reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts
- Support data loads and conversions using HCM Data Loader (HDL) and spreadsheet loaders
- Participate in quarterly Oracle update testing and regression testing
- Document configurations and train end users and support teams
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring Oracle HCM Cloud, with at least one full-lifecycle implementation
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Time and Labor, Absence Management, Workforce Administration, and Core HR
- Experience configuring time entry, timekeeping rules, approval workflows, and time calculations
- Experience configuring absence plans, leave policies, accruals, and eligibility rules
- Understanding of how Oracle HCM modules integrate, particularly Time and Labor, Absence Management, and Payroll
- Ability to build and customize reports within Oracle HCM Cloud (OTBI, BI Publisher)
- Ability to gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into system design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing or modifying Fast Formulas for time and absence
- Experience with HCM Extracts, HDL, and integrations with third-party systems
- Familiarity with Oracle Workforce Scheduling or other workforce management tools
- Oracle HCM Cloud implementation certifications (Time and Labor, Absence Management, or Global HR)
- Experience supporting hourly or shift-based workforces with complex pay rules
- Background in financial services or another regulated industry
