The GIS Analyst I supports the Town of Windsor's geographic information systems by preparing and analyzing spatial data, creating maps and dashboards, maintaining documentation, and troubleshooting GIS tools. The role also provides technical support and training to internal and external users and collaborates with town departments on GIS projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, query, and quality-check geospatial data in enterprise geodatabases and other formats.
- Perform basic geoprocessing and spatial analysis, and summarize analytical results.
- Create and maintain static maps, interactive web maps, dashboards, charts, and reports.
- Document GIS methodologies, data management standards, map designs, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot GIS hardware and software and provide user support, issue resolution, and training.
- Gather customer requirements, maintain basic project documentation, and manage assigned GIS work.
