Senior Security Applications Engineer

Develop engineered estimates and budgets for security-system projects by reviewing customer requirements, site surveys, specifications and drawings. Select and configure appropriate equipment, calculate installation costs, support proposal responses and coordinate with sales, operations, project managers, suppliers and manufacturers to deliver accurate project pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop project requirements from customer interviews, scopes of work, site surveys, specifications and drawing reviews.
• Create detailed equipment lists, electrical and installation requirements, and cost estimates for turnkey security solutions.
• Select and configure products for access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, PSIM, PLC and structured cabling systems.
• Estimate installation costs with implementation, service, internal labor and external labor teams.
• Review architectural, electrical, telecommunications and security drawings, specifications, revisions and addendums.
• Prepare project clarifications, exclusions and compliance details; support RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and change orders.
