Job Overview

The Data Center Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations within a mission-critical data center environment. This role focuses on maintaining uptime, security, operational reliability, and customer satisfaction through infrastructure support, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical assistance.

The ideal candidate is technically inclined, customer-focused, bilingual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while supporting network, fiber, and data center infrastructure operations.

To ensure the highest levels of uptime, reliability, and customer satisfaction by maintaining, monitoring, and supporting data center infrastructure, network services, and facility operations.

Must-Haves

Bilingual: English and Spanish

Experience as a:

  • NOC Technician
  • SOC Technician
  • Similar technical support role

Experience working with:

• • Fiber optics
  • Copper cabling
  • Network infrastructure
  • Data center environments
    

Ability to work:

• • On-call rotations
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays when required
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license
  

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree or higher in:

• • Telecommunications
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Networking
  • Related technical field
    

Familiarity with:

• • OSI Model
  • Network Fundamentals
  • OTDR Testing Equipment
  • Fiber Testing Equipment
    

Experience using:

• • Asana
  • Slack
  • Google Workspace

Responsibilities

Data Center Operations

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain critical data center infrastructure
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Support installation and maintenance of network and telecommunications equipment
• Troubleshoot service interruptions and infrastructure issues
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades
  

Network & Fiber Support

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling
• Support network equipment including routers, switches, and related hardware
• Utilize fiber testing equipment and OTDR tools when required
  

Customer & Facility Support

• Assist customers with service requests and support needs
• Escort customers, vendors, and contractors as required
• Support physical security procedures and access control policies
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
  

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate service logs and technical documentation
• Track incidents, requests, and maintenance activities
• Follow company operational, security, and safety procedures
• Assist with process improvements and operational best practices
