Position Summary
The Platform Engineer is a member of the Data Platform Engineering team, which builds, operates, secures, and evolves HASI's enterprise data technology stack. The team owns the technology platforms that power the business - including Snowflake, Airflow, SQL Server, Power BI Service, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power Automate, Jupyter Hub, Business Objects, Kyriba, Sigma/Thoughtworks, and the broader data warehouse and metadata/catalog tooling ecosystem - not the business data or business logic that runs on top of them.
This role manages and enhances the platforms that data engineering relies on day to day, with primary focus on Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric. The Platform Engineer evaluates new and emerging technologies in the market, builds standard operating procedures (SOPs) for platform usage, and partners closely with the Data Engineering team to establish repeatable processes and code controls that make pipelines, models, and integrations reusable across projects.
