Messer Construction is seeking an MEP Engineer to support complex commercial construction projects across healthcare, higher education, industrial, aviation, and other markets. In this role, you will design, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities include developing drawings and specifications, performing load calculations, supporting BIM coordination and clash detection, and ensuring safety, quality, and code compliance. You will collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, trade partners, and clients while leveraging advanced construction technologies. Responsibilities
- Design, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for complex commercial construction projects.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure safety, quality, and code compliance.
- Support BIM coordination, clash detection, and constructability reviews with project and trade teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and sequencing.
- Assist with MEP cost estimates, value engineering options, and schedule input during preconstruction.
- Support commissioning, testing, and turnover documentation for MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with Messer safety standards and industry regulations on all assigned projects.
