What You'll Get To Do: The AEOIR business area has a rapidly growing set of efforts related to EOIR-based concept development, algorithm development, and signal exploitation. These programs span a range of modalities, but share a common theme of developing new techniques to solve challenging problems. As a technical lead, you will guide a diverse team of physicists, systems engineer, signal processing engineers, and AI/ML engineers in developing novel EOIR sensor capabilities and evaluating the performance of these techniques. You will also perform direct technical work to advance the needs for the group. You will develop concepts for novel EO/IR sensors and develop cutting-edge algorithms to meet emerging mission needs. You will analyze data collected from some of the most advanced sensors ever fielded and generate representative synthetic data using high-fidelity, physics-based models.
