Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer

Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to design and validate advanced electronic systems for ultra luxury vehicles. You will lead hardware architecture, schematic and PCB design, component selection, EMC/EMI compliance, and functional safety for powertrain, body, and infotainment domains. Collaborating with cross functional teams and BMW Group partners, you will drive requirements, oversee suppliers, run lab and vehicle tests, and resolve complex hardware issues. You will mentor junior engineers, support serial production, and champion quality, reliability, and continuous improvement in a craftsmanship driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of vehicle electronic control units and hardware architectures
• Create schematics, guide PCB layout, and select automotive grade components
• Ensure EMC/EMI, safety, and regulatory compliance for all electronic hardware
• Plan and execute hardware validation, lab tests, and vehicle level trials
• Analyze test results and drive corrective actions and design improvements
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams and external suppliers
• Define and manage hardware requirements and interface specifications
• Support industrialization and series production issue resolution
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in hardware design
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, reliability, and development processes
