Job Description

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation solutions that elevate performance across our global commercial real estate portfolio. In this role, you will design and implement building and operational automation for leasing, property, and facility management, integrating BMS, IoT, and data platforms to drive efficiency and sustainability. You will develop scripts, APIs, and test frameworks that streamline workflows and enhance reliability of technology-enabled services. Partnering closely with property, project, and technology teams, you will translate business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable automation architectures. In JLL's performance-driven and collaborative culture, you will mentor engineers, champion innovation, and contribute to a more sustainable built environment while gaining exposure to high-profile clients and complex assets worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for building systems and real estate operations across JLL-managed portfolios
  • Integrate sensors, BMS, and Io
  • T platforms to optimize energy use, occupancy, and asset performance
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for real estate technology platforms and applications
  • Analyze system data to identify efficiency, reliability, and sustainability improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with property, facility, and project teams to define automation requirements and standards
  • Implement scripts, APIs, and workflows to streamline leasing, facilities, and capital project processes
  • Ensure automation solutions meet security, compliance, and reliability standards
  • Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of automation systems
  • Document architectures, configurations, test plans, and operational procedures
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to automation best practices and tooling
