SAAB is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to secure and optimize our Windows infrastructure supporting advanced defense and manufacturing systems. In this role, you will design and harden Windows servers, Active Directory, and related services, leading threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response across complex environments. You will define and enforce security baselines, automate controls with PowerShell, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and IT teams. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows infrastructure for defense-grade manufacturing systems
- Harden Windows servers, Active Directory, and related services to meet security and compliance standards
- Lead threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and remediation for Windows-based environments
- Develop and enforce security configurations, policies, and procedures for Windows platforms
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams on secure architecture and deployments
- Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and drive root-cause analysis
- Implement and manage endpoint protection, patch management, and encryption solutions
- Support audits and certification activities, documenting controls and risk mitigations
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security best practices and standards
