Position Title: Business Development Executive - Graphic Sales
Location: St. Charles, MO
Primary Responsibilities: The Business Development Executive - Graphic Sales is responsible for finding new customers, building strong relationships, and growing sales for Craftsmen Industries' graphics capabilities. This position focuses on identifying companies that need large-format graphics, environmental graphics, displays, branded environments, experiential marketing, vehicle graphics, and other custom graphic solutions.
This is a relationship-driven sales role that requires someone who is comfortable reaching out to new prospects, understanding their needs, developing solutions, and guiding opportunities from the initial conversation through the sale. The Business Development Executive will work closely with estimating, design, project management, production, and operations to ensure customer needs are understood and projects are positioned for success.
Job Duties:
- Utilize and execute the sales process, including prospecting, lead qualification, sales presentations, negotiation, and closing deals, to drive new business acquisition.
- Developing a comprehensive sales forecast and expense plan for the year, and meticulously tracking its progress monthly.
- Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, networking events, and cold outreach.
- Generate leads through outbound sales activities such as cold calling, emailing, and social selling.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the value proposition of our products or services.
- Negotiate terms and contracts with prospective clients to secure new business opportunities.
- Close new business deals by effectively addressing client needs and objections, and providing solutions that meet their requirements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and updating CRM systems regularly.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with the Business Development Manager, promptly informing them of any identified risks or issues that may affect sales outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of successful business development, account management, or consultative sales experience in a B2B environment.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel, as needed, is required ( 20%).
- Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Demonstrate safe driving practices while driving company vehicles or when driving your personal vehicle on behalf of the company.
- Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Business development or sales experience working with large brands or agencies
- Experience selling graphics, signage, displays, environmental graphics, experiential marketing, printing, fabrication, or other custom products and services.
- Experience working with marketing agencies, corporate marketing departments, retailers, event organizations, or experiential marketing companies.
- Knowledge of large-format graphics and graphics production processes.
- Existing industry relationships or an established professional network.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in office, warehouse, manufacturing, and customer environments.
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, and move throughout facilities as necessary to perform job duties.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read documents, drawings, computer screens, and other work-related materials, including the ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus as needed.
