Outside Business Development Manager
As an Outside Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients outside the company's premises. You will be responsible for generating leads, prospecting new clients, and expanding the company's customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through market research, networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online resources. Generate a steady flow of qualified leads for the sales team.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals to effectively present solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the company's products or services and highlighting their value proposition. Address client inquiries and objections, emphasizing the benefits and competitive advantages of partnering with the company.
- Negotiation and Closing: Collaborate with the sales team to negotiate pricing, terms, and contractual agreements. Use persuasive communication and negotiation skills to secure new business contracts and close deals.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions. Analyze market data to identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and areas for growth.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing strategies. Collaborate with sales, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful implementation of new clients.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress in the company's CRM system. Prepare regular reports and forecasts on business development activities, pipeline growth, and revenue projections.
- Relationship Management: Foster long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in a B2B environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Self-motivated and target-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales productivity tools
