Senior Data Engineer

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data platforms powering products across brands like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. You will develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate streaming and batch data, and implement data models that enable advanced analytics and ML. Partner with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality datasets. You'll mentor junior engineers, champion best practices in cloud data engineering, and help shape the future of automotive retail and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
• Develop and optimize data models and warehouses for analytics and ML use cases
• Integrate streaming and batch data from multiple automotive and media sources
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and governance across platforms
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver data solutions
• Implement cloud-based data architectures using modern big data tools
• Automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of data pipelines
• Mentor junior data engineers and promote engineering best practices
